Abstract
AI can play a prominent role in the medical field, specifically in physical therapy, by detecting injuries or areas of concern, that may lead to injury. Many athletes are more susceptible to injury than the average person. AI has the potential of detecting many of these injuries, possibly before they even occur. Supervised learning used in conjunction with machine learning can play a significant role in identifying injuries. Machines can be trained with data such as x-rays and MRIs, showing healthy body scans in juxtaposition to unhealthy or injury prone ones.
